About Us

Opening our own store in an amazing old factory in Brunswick in August 2018 has been the culmination of a long journey in Furniture, Art and Design.

Rodwell and Astor was established in 2010 as a creative outlet for founder and owner Janine Rodwell. Building on a lifetime passion for interior and furniture design we aim to marry contemporary style with the added personality that key vintage pieces can bring.
Drawing on Janine's training as an interior designer, the business originally started as purely Interior design consulting. In May 2013 we opened a retail space within The Lost Weekend Vintage Market to fuel an already healthy addiction to vintage furniture and home-wares.

In April 2014 we opened a pop-up store in Brunswick which provided us with the space and opportunity to showcase vintage pieces alongside modern furniture, artwork and lighting in a carefully curated selection that highlighted the best in both.  
We are currently also developing our own distinctive range of mid-century inspired furniture.
