Vintage Japanese Komai-Style Metal Cigarette Case – Intricate Silver & Brass Dragon Inlay (1920s-1940s)

This stunning vintage Japanese Komai-style cigarette case features a captivating design with a meticulously crafted three-claw dragon in intricate silver and brass inlay on the front. The black rectangular case is beautifully detailed, showcasing expert craftsmanship from the early 20th century.

Note: The Japanese dragon, or ryū (龍), is a wingless, serpentine creature with three clawed feet. It is a symbol of power, wealth and prosperity in Japan.

The back and interior of the case are finished in a matte black, with elegant brass-coloured edging that complements the front’s design. The case is slightly curved to sit comfortably in your hand or pocket. The original internal clasp is fully functional, ensuring the case closes securely. All springs and clasps are in perfect working order, maintaining the case’s vintage charm.
