Vintage provenance
The Karen Blixen series by Holmegaard was designed by Anja Kjær and launched in 2000 to mark Holmegaard’s 175th anniversary. Inspired by the sculptural beauty of African neck rings and the evocative world of Karen Blixen’s Out of Africa, each piece is mouth blown, meaning subtle variations and occasional air bubbles are a natural part of its handmade character. The Karen Blixen White series is widely cited as having been produced from 2000 to 2019.

Each piece of mouth blown glass is unique and handmade by the glassblower, who carefully blows the right amount of air through the narrow pipe. Air bubbles in the glass are therefore inevitable and part of the charm that characterizes mouth blown glass.

Rodwell and Astor requires a street for all deliveries, unfortunately we do not deliver to PO boxes unless prior shipping arrangements have been made with us. Deliveries are only door to door and not brought into the premise unless stated otherwise. 
PICK UP from our Brunswick store is free and available during business hours. 
We check all orders thoroughly prior to notification that your goods are ready for collection, however we encourage all pick ups to be checked at the time of collection. Collection of orders is the bearers responsibility and damage claims will not be accepted.
