A striking mid-century Sommerso “geode” bowl, hand-blown on the island of Murano, near Venice. This example showcases a rich gradient of clear, yellow, and chartreuse green glass, seamlessly layered using the renowned Venetian Sommerso technique.

The bowl’s sculptural form captures and refracts light beautifully, while the uranium content allows it to glow vividly under ultraviolet light - a hallmark of collectible 1950s-60s Murano glass. Pieces of this quality were produced by notable ateliers such as Archimede Seguso and Cenedese, each celebrated for their technical mastery and elegant organic designs.
